2018 was a year filled with celebrity weddings! Some weddings were expected while others were a complete surprise! From Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, to Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, there were plenty to gush over! However my favorite celebrity wedding of 2018 was Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith’s intimate backyard wedding! I mean, who doesn’t love Mandy Moore? She’s sweet, beautiful, talented and funny…a Disney Princess; the list goes on!
Mandy and Taylor met through our favorite social media platform, Instagram! Mandy is a huge fan of Dawes, which is Taylor’s band. She posted a photo of Dawes album on her feed, and once he saw the post he reached out and the rest is history!
Mandy and Taylor’s wedding was small and intimate, which is quite the trend right now, with only 50 close friends and family attending. In attendance were a few of her This Is Us co-stars, hey there, Milo! 😉 They had a beautiful sunset wedding in their backyard in LA. The vibe of the wedding was Vintage Boho yet very trendy. Ceremony decor included an impressive baby’s breath arch and lush pampas grass lining the aisle. Their wedding was simply a Boho Chic dream!
Mandy and Taylor’s reception was held at Fig House in LA. They had various food stations set up with all different options. For drinks they had a whiskey station for their guest as well as wine. Stations of any kind are a popular wedding trend that we absolutely love. This may be because we had stations for our reception food 6 years go. Keeping with the fun of lots of options, they opted to serve 12 different flavors of cake instead of just one wedding cake! This is a wedding trend that I can get behind! As a surprise treat for the guests, the newlywed couple got up to perform a duet together on stage. I’m not going to lie. Up until this second I completely forgot that Mandy is a singer.
Mandy wore a pink Rodarte wedding dress.
The gown had layered tulle ruffles and a beautiful cluster of roses and bead detailing in the front! I follow Rodarte and have been seeing tons of layered tulle dresses that have a little bit of a 70’s vibe going on. I loved seeing how the looks that shows up on the Rodarte Instagram feed translate to a real wedding. Her style is sure to be an upcoming wedding trend for 2019! For her reception she opted to switch it up to a dramatic black dress! She was stunning in both to say the least!
Mandy and Taylor’s wedding will be hard to top for me, but I can’t wait to see what other celebrity weddings will come about in 2019! I will say, I am looking forward to Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s wedding! Comment below with your favorite wedding of 2018!
