Blush and Burgundy has been a huge wedding color trend for 2018, and Elba and David did the beautiful color combo justice with their Vintage Inspired Casa Feliz Wedding. Elba added in pops of gold and powder blue as accent colors along with Vintage props such as her BHLDN French Market Hanger and a hand-held mirror to pull the look together. As most couples do, Elba and David fell in love with Casa Feliz for its Vintage Charm, famous blue shutters, and beautiful brick. Their ceremony took place at the front of the house, with a lush greenery garland with burgundy accents hung over the frame of the door. Floral was tied to the gold chiavari chairs at the end of each row. For their ceremony exit, each guest was handed a ribbon wand to wave as the couple receded down the aisle as husband and wife. The bride was stunning in her Kenneth Winston Gown and her Rachel Simpson T-Strap heels were the perfect “something blue”. Laura Reynolds Artistry finished off her bridal look with a glamorous Vintage Style hair and makeup. I really need to get better with my knowledge of flowers, so while I do not know what type of flowers were included in Elba’s wedding bouquet, I do know that the blush and burgundy bouquet as well as the floral arrangements for the ceremony and reception (hellooooo greenery garlands) were perfection and you need to take a look at the pictures below! Their reception was catered by the always amazing Arthur’s Catering, and on top of a delicious meal, they also treated their guests to their Flaming Donut station! Their funfetti (yes, I said funfetti) cake from Anna Cakes had blush marbling with gold accents, topped off by fresh flowers. Dandy Details Events was the couple’s wedding planner, and Rachael and her team were there to make sure that everything ran according to plan!
I can’t finish this post without crushing on this couple for a minute. If you hop over to my About Page, you will learn a little more about our mission and the style of photography that I love. Elba and David fit this description so perfectly, and it was such an amazing experience being able to be a part of their wedding journey. Elba booked me about 18 months prior to her wedding, and in that time I would receive fun texts anytime she was crafting for the wedding or shopping for wedding details! I am thankful for the friendship we have developed, and I can’t wait to take more pictures of this beautiful family in the future! If you are like me and can’t get enough of Elba and David, you are in luck! You can head over to their engagement session HERE!
