Hi everyone-this is Orlando Wedding Photographer Jamie Reinhart and I have so many new followers since my last introduction, I just wanted to take a second to tell everyone “Welcome” and thank you for keeping up with my shenanigans! Here is a little insight into what it’s like being Jamie as well as a little insight into what you are getting yourself into if you decide to join the Jamie Reinhart Photography family!
I. Love. Coffee. And champagne, sports, craft beer, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, scavenger hunts, contests and games where you actually win a prize, board games, and trivia nights. I’m not a big fan of going to the movies, I am even less of a fan of driving, and then while we’re at it, let’s throw Renee Zellweger movies into this little group. I don’t proofread my blogs. I also like to read, but I can rarely find the time these days. I have three wonderful men in my life-my husband and my two mini-men. Mason and Drew are 2 and 3 years old and while I do find managing two toddlers to be incredibly difficult, I love the little guys to pieces. Even though the kids are young, I have big plans for our family. The kids are going to grow up to be professional athletes (anything but baseball, fingers crossed), and all 4 of use are going to travel the world. For now, our “travel the world” consists of walking around the counties at Epcot, but hey. I’ll take it.
Owning a business is something I always wished for but never thought I would actually do. It is incredible. I started my business when I was pregnant with my first kiddo, and frantically worked to grow it so I did not have to go back to my J.O.B. as an elementary school teacher! Where there’s a will, there’s a way folks. I started out shooting kids and newborns but quickly fell into weddings and haven’t looked back. I’m in love with all things about wedding photography. I’m in love with taking pictures of people in love. I’m in love with the flowers, the dresses, and all of my couples. One of my favorite parts of my time with my couples is learning the details of their wedding. It’s so wonderful going into a wedding being (almost) as excited as the bride is for her dress. I have a wedding on Sunday and I get a little giddy just thinking about it-it’s going to be amazing!! I also shoot all of my weddings with my husband! He shot my first wedding with me for moral support, and it just kind of stuck!
I take on about 2-3 weddings per month. My biggest goal-aside from taking beautiful pictures that perfectly illustrates the story of your day (yeah, I said it)-is to really get to know my couples. It may be because I am incredibly curious (nosey), but getting to know all of the inside info about your wedding is such a fun part of my job. As I said earlier, it also gets me super hyped for your wedding. One fun fact is that I like to Facebook friend all of my couples. It’s such a great way for us to stay connected and gives me conversation starters for our meetings. I actually get a tad jealous of seeing my couples living their “engaged lives”. Alll kinds of date nights, gifts, vacations…it’s a good thing though-it always motivates me to try to plan more nights out with my husband, so thanks for that!
I’m huge on finding the right photographer for you. I used to try to scoop up anyone who showed any interest in me, but now I know that finding your photographer is just like dating in a sense. There is someone out there who is perfect for you! A JRP couple is a couple who views their photographer as an important part of their day-as you read I looove to get to know you and I love learning about your wedding, so a couple who is into all of that is a good start! I love a couple who is detail-oriented as far as planning goes and wants the photographer to be up to speed on all of the details of the day. I am not all that organized in my daily life, but in my photographer life-I am a timeline-carrying nerd! A JRP couple loves a mix of candid, lightly posed, and traditional shots throughout the day. I also love a couple who goes heavy on personal touches! Where it is a grand event or an intimate affair, personal details always makes for an amazing day!
