I had the pleasure to photograph and share Kristin and Suede’s wedding day. Like most soon to be newlyweds, they were full of glee. Everything from the Kristin’s dress, to the stitching on the napkins reflected the happy couple perfectly. Prior to the wedding I had the opportunity to get to know the bride and groom more. We talked about the inspiration behind their wedding, the guest list and of course photography!
Kristin and Suede’s day was put together by such a fantastic group of vendors so I wanted to take a second to talk them all up! Thank you to everyone for helping put together such an incredible wedding. Rachel from Horse Power Ranch was incredibly helpful navigating the venue. Yanice for hair and makeup and was total sweetheart. Kristin’s dress is from David’s Bridal. The Day of Coordinator was the amazing Natina Lundy of Sapphire Elegance Events. The DJ kept everyone on the dance floor. When guests weren’t dancing, they were munching on food and desserts provided by Smokey Jay’s BBQ and Cupcakes Anonymous.
The day started with everyone getting ready. The Hair and makeup team was busy at work, as excited chatter was all around.
The couple decided not to have their wedding “over the top”. Kristin and Suede kept it simple and chic with a blush and navy blue color palette, mason jars, burlap and lace accent to enhance the theme and feel of the ranch.
Kristin and Suede kept their wedding party “small and intimate”. Both the bride and groom asked their friends of 5+ years to take on a larger role in this memorable day. Kristin revealed that she and her Maid of Honor, Stephanie, have known each other for close to 20 years!
Bridesmaids Emily Stevenson, Kelsea Jaqueth, Samantha Farrell and Maid of Honor Stephanie Curtiss, are all smiles supporting their best friend Kristin as she starts a new chapter in her life.
The Groomsmen Brandon Odom, David May, Keiffer Gaskill and Best Man Scott May, celebrate their best mate by goofing off together.
There were a few people who unfortunately could not be at the wedding. Kristin and Suede decided to create a space for those important people who were looking over them and watching their wedding day.
Kristin left a special seat open in the front row for her father. With his favorite hat and a photograph of him smiling from ear to ear, she was able to have him be a part of her special day.
Kristin and Suede dedicated a table, honoring the passing of loved one who were watching their special day from heaven.
This was a giant celebration for love, filled with laughs, special moments, kind words and memories to last a lifetime.
Best Man, Scott May.
Kristin and Suede’s wedding was a perfect representation who they are: laid- back and fun. Guests had a blast dancing, taking selfies with polaroid cameras and enjoyed the food.
As the day comes to an end, Kristin and Suede’s family and friends send them off with love and well wishes as they embark on their new adventure.
Thank You Kristin and Suede for allowing me to be a part of your special day.
