Kit and Mike gathered their closest friends and family for an intimate Garden Party Wedding at The Acre Orlando. The forecast called for rain, but just as it does in Florida, the skies cleared up just in time for the start of the ceremony-making for a beautiful brunch wedding.
The couple actually met in middle school, but didn’t officially become a couple until their senior year. Mike proposed on their 7 year anniversary, while at Disney’s Magic Kingdom (they love Disney). What was really awesome was that on their cake table they had a picture of the proposal, and then had a matching cake topper! As for the wedding, they wanted the feel of a Garden Party wedding, but they also added in a rainbow theme. Each member of the bridal party represented a color, with the girls each carrying a different colored bouquet. The groomsmen each wore a different colored boutonniere. The bride and groom had flowers of mixed colors. The theme carried on throughout the day, as guests were welcomed with rainbow colored fans and glasses. They were then treated to rainbow colored mimosas at cocktail hour-my personal favorite! As for the decor, the couple actually made a DIY rainbow flower archway, and each reception table was adorned with a different colored floral arrangement at every table. The cake’s inside was even rainbow colored! Levan’s Catering provided the most delicious brunch ever, and even though the wedding took place on a Sunday afternoon, the guests had no problem dancing to music by the dj’s of Excellent! Entertainment. The whole day was pulled off by the amazing Annette Hemphill of An Affair of Excellence.
